O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to give adequate police protection to build a house in the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No: Old 268/3, New 167/32 at located in S.Pudukottai, Pettavaithalai, Sririnagam Taluk, Trichirappallli District.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in respect of issuance of patta to the land comprised in Survey Old No.268/3 New No.167/32 situated at S.Pudukottai, Pettavaithalai, Srirangam, there was a dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 4 to 8. In this regard already petition pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirangam. During the pendency of the said proceedings, the petitioner cannot get police protection to build a house in the said place. However, the petitioner has filed the present petition to seek police protection subject to result of the pending proceedings before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirangam Taluk.
3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after completing all the proceedings pending before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirangam Taluk and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
