ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is for a mandamus forbearing the first respondent herein from in any manner refusing to accept and register any document with reference to certain properties mentioned in the prayer. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that, without any right, title, or interest whatsoever, the second respondent temple has claimed rights over the land. The petitioner apprehends that the documents may not be entertained, therefore, the petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus. 3.It is now settled that any request received under Section 22A does not automatically bind either the petitioner or the Sub-Registrar. If the petitioner claims ownership and wishes to deal with the property as his own, it shall be open to the petitioner to present the relevant documents, whereupon an enquiry shall be conducted as mandated by the Division Bench of this Court in Sucha Ravi Kumar and Others v. The Special Commissioner and Commissioner of H.R. & C.E. and Others, reported in 2017 (3) CTC 135. Without such an exercise being carried out, no blanket writ of mandamus can be issued.

4. With the liberty kept open to the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
