ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court that the order passed by this Court in WP(MD)No.15957 of 2024 dated 18.07.2024 has not been complied with.

2.The petitioner has worked as Nurse in Tamil Nadu Government Primary Health Centre. She suffered from back pain and diagnosed that there was a disc extrusion in her spinal cord and therefore, she was admitted and has taken treatment in a non-network hospital. She has incurred Rs.93,491/- towards medical expenses. The claim of the petitioner for reimbursement has been rejected by the Insurance Company that the petitioner has taken treatment in the non-network hospital. Against the said rejection order, the

petitioner has preferred an appeal before the State Level Empowered Committee, on 03.06.2024 and has filed a writ petition in WP(MD). No.15957 of 2024 seeking a direction to the said Committee to decide her appeal, within a stipulated time. However, this Court, by an order dated 18.07.2024, has extended the relief by setting aside the order passed by the Insurance Company rejecting the request of the petitioner and remitted the matter back for fresh consideration to the District Level Empowered Committee. In view of this order, the District Level Empowered Committee has also made a recommendation for the payment of insurance to the petitioner as per the medical insurance scheme. Accordingly, the Insurance Company has considered the case of the petitioner and has paid Rs.54,600/-. The petitioner has filed this contempt petition that the respondent has not complied with the order of this Court.

3.Considering the nature of relief granted in the writ petition and also considering the fact that the eligible amount has already been paid to the petitioner, this contempt petition is dismissed.
