ORDER

This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and learned Government Advocate for the third respondent.

2. The petitioner approached this Court for Mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 30.06.2025 for allotment of shed in the third respondent/Town Panchayat's Market.

3. It is submitted that the constructions are still going on and at this stage, the third respondent allotted the shed, even though the sheds are not yet ready. 2/5

4. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 as well as learned Government Advocate for the third respondent submit that this Writ Petition is without any merits.

5. It is further submitted by the learned Government Advocate for the third respondent that there are requests being received. However, no allotments have been made and the third respondent proposes to auction the rights in the proposed sheds in the Weekly Shandy as and when the sheds are made ready.

6. Recording the same, there shall be a direction to the respondents to conduct auction as and when the construction of the sheds in the Weekly Shandy is completed.

7. The allotment of the shed shall be made, only after the auction is conducted, to the bidders, who emerges successful in the bid. The auction shall be conducted, after following procedures prescribed under Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998 and the Rules made thereunder. 3/5
