ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 1, 2 and 4 to take action against the respondents 5 to 12 for 2/6

their illegal act of excommunicating the writ petitioner and his family members from the village, by considering the writ petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 would submit that the Revenue Tahsildar, Sankarankovil has conducted an enquiry and after examining the villagers has sent a report dated 12.09.2024 to the Government Advocate stating that there was no excommunication against the writ petitioner and his family members and they were not prevented from taking part in the events conducted in the village and that they have been enjoying without any ban or prohibition and also produced the copy of the report.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Civil Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 has also produced the copy of the statement given by some of the villagers before the Tahsildar on 11.09.2024.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 6 to 11 would 3/6

submit that at any point of time, they have not made any excommunication against the writ petitioner and his family members.

5. Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
