PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.294 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 8 (C) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.294 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were found in illegal possession of 1.500 kgs of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.
3.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is innocent and he has nothing to do with the alleged occurrence and prayed the petitioner to be released on bail. 4.On the side of the prosecution, it is stated that the petitioner is having two previous cases, out of which, one case is under 302 IPC and prayed the petition to be dismissed. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2

No.15569 of 2022 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence and on considering the fact that the petitioner is having two previous cases, out of which, one case is under 302 IPC and also considering the quantum of contraband seized and the petitioner is in judicial custody only from 18.07.2022, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
