ORDER

The petitioner herein has been shown as accused No.1 in Crime No.1129 of 2013 registered on the file of the Inspector of Police, D1, Thallakulam police station, Madurai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case against the petitioner is that in violation of the conditions imposed by the District Collector, Madurai, the petitioner herein had taken a large number of his followers in T-board vehicles(taxies) to attend the anniversary function of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL.O.P.(MD)No.17231 of 2014 and Immanuvel Sekaran on September 11.09.2013. The petitioner also did not obtain prior passes. More than anything else, the T-board registration Boards and T-Board vehicles were painted and made to appear as if they are own board vehicles.

4. The incident had taken place in the year 2013. During the subsequent years, no such incident had taken place. The petitioner's counsel on instructions gives an undertaking before this Court that henceforth the petitioner would strictly abide by the directions that may be issued by the District Administration or the police authorities for the purpose of maintaining public tranquility and peace.

5. The said undertaking is recorded. I am of the view that no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned First Information Report alive. The impugned First Information Report stands quashed.
