ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District to dispose of the case in C.C.No.182 of 2020 on its file within a time frame.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a case was registered as against the petitioners in Crime No.135 of 2019 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 427 and 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and after investigation, the first respondent police filed the charge sheet, which was also taken on file in C.C.No.182 of 2020 by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District. He further submitted that some of the petitioners are college going students and due to the pendency of the present case, their future will be affected. Hence, the petitioners filed the present petition seeking the above said relief.

3.In view of the above submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Valliyoor, Tirunelveli District is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.182 of 2020 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, since the offences involved in this case are simple in nature. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
