O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to take legal action against the fifth respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, the fifth respondent had purchased materials for the Collector's building and that she has misappropriated the funds. Therefore, the petitioner has sought for legal action against the fifth respondent by giving representations dated 26.07.2022 and 28.06.2022 to the respondents 1 & 2.

3. It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 that the fifth respondent had already retired from service and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition.

4. In view of the fact that the fifth respondent had already retired from service against whom the petitioner seeks to take legal action through his representations, this Court is of the considered view that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 28.11.2025 NCC :
