ORDER

The petitioner has submitted a representation seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal Program on 13.07.2025 from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. in connection with the temple festival of Arulmigu Shri Shyamala Devi Kaliamman Thirukovil, Arasamaratheru, Nadukaveri, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District. The first respondent, by his proceedings dated 08.07.2025, rejected the petitioner's representation. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that within two months, five incidents had taken place in the village and a murder had also been taken place. In view of the recent incidents taken place in the village, they are apprehending that there may be a law and order problem in the village.

In view of the reasoning given by the respondent Police by referring the earlier incidents that had taken place in the village, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
