PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give the petitioner's deceased son viz, Saravanan's monetary benefits, service gratuity and other benefits to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2024 within a time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by the mother of the deceased employee, seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to share the monetary benefits of her deceased son, based upon her representation dated 02.08.2024. 2.It is the allegation of the writ petitioner that her grandson had obtained signature in some of the papers, through which he is attempting to receive all the terminal benefits from the respondent corporation. Making allegation as against his grandson, the petitioner has given a complaint to the respondent authorities on 02.08.2024. It is submitted by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the TANGEDCO, so far the terminal benefits have not been released to the grandson of the writ petitioner.

Since dispute has arisen between the mother of the petitioner and her grandson with regard to the validity of her signature in some of the documents, the respondents are directed to conduct an enquiry, after giving due opportunity to the writ petitioner as well as the other legal heirs of the deceased namely, S.Sankareshwari and S.

from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
