ORDER

The petitioners, who are A1 to A5 in Cr.No.63 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent Police, have filed this petition to quash the said proceedings.

2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent Police, on instructions, submits that upon completion of investigation in Cr.No.63 of 2023, the first respondent Police has filed the final report through E.Filing before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram.

3.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report through E-filing is not enough. It is the duty of the first respondent Police to ensure that the 2/4

final report is taken on file. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram is expected to take the final report on file, within a reasonable time, if it is otherwise in order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
