This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C seeking for a direction to the second respondent Police to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.310 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent Police.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner / defacto complainant that though the respondent Police have registered a case on his complaint in the year 2016, there is no progress in the investigation. Therefore, suitable directions as sought for.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand submits that during the course of enquiry, the petitioner appeared before the Police and took time to submit the documents, however, subsequently, he appeared and gave in writing that no documents are available with him and gave an undertaking that the dispute between the petitioner and alleged accused will be resolved in the Civil Court and the same is recorded.
4. After recording the submissions of the petitioner, the respondent Police are about to complete the investigation and request short time to file the final report before the concerned Court.
5. Considering the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.310 of 2016 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 08.08.2023 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no tsg 2/4
