ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the impugned transfer order passed by the first respondent dated 30.05.2025 and consequently, to direct the first respondent to permit the petitioner to continue working at the TANFED Nagercoil Regional Office.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was selected for the post of Assistant by the State Recruitment Bureau for Cooperative Societies (SRB) and was allotted to Tamil Nadu Cooperative Marketing Federation (TANFED), Tirunelveli, where she joined duty on 02.02.2021. After rendering three years of sincere service, she was transferred to the Nagercoil

Regional Office on 02.02.2024. Subsequently, she was promoted as Senior Assistant on 21.06.2024 and continued in the same office. However, within a very short span of 10 months, she was transferred to the Chennai Head Office by proceedings dated 28.11.2024, during the non-transfer period. Considering her medical condition and her daughter's education, she submitted a representation, and the first respondent was kind enough to cancel the said transfer and allowed her to continue at the Nagercoil Regional Office by order dated 04.02.2025.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that another transfer order was issued on 30.05.2025, transferring the petitioner back to Tirunelveli, despite the fact that she had just been permitted to continue in Nagercoil three months earlier. No reason was assigned for this abrupt transfer. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that such repeated transfers within short intervals, especially, without justification, are arbitrary and affect the petitioner's family and health conditions. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned transfer order and seeking permission to continue at the Nagercoil Regional Office.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner also submits that, considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, it would suffice if this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 09.06.2025 and to pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.06.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
