Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider and pass orders upon the application filed by the petitioner under Section 14 of the National Trust Act, 1999 seeking to appoint the petitioner as guardian to the mentally retarded sister one R.Saradha for the purpose of dealing both movable and immovable property as contemplated under Sections 14 and 21 of the National Trust Act, 1999 by fixing a time frame and also to consider the application under the application ID number TDFMR2642321168.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition with a grievance that his application to appoint him as guardian to her mentally retarded sister has not been considered by the respondent.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent on instruction received from the District Collector, Dindigul submits that the petitioner's application is being processed by seeking legal opinion and necessary orders would be passed.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's application within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
