PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to provide petitioner with Compassionate Appointment on the ground that he is in indigent living conditions and fulfilling all the requirements of the G.O.Ms.No.155 dated 16.07.1993 pertaining to Compassionate appointment and the clarifications provided in the circular issued in Na.Ka.No.24349/2001/H2 dated 21.09.2001 by the 2nd respondent. ORDER

Mr.Y.Arulanandasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.D.Venkatesh learned counsel for R1 and Mr.V.Om Prakash, learned Government Advocate for R2 state that the petitioner has passed away on 16.08.2018. The prayer for a mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner in their organization on compassionate basis is thus rendered infructuous. This Writ Petition is dismissed in the light of the aforesaid narration.

2.If the legal heirs of the petitioner believe that they are entitled for such appointment, it is up to them to approach the respondents for appropriate and suitable relief. No costs.
