ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that he has not been added in the promotion panel, has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that on the date of promotion panel, the petitioner 2/5

was facing charges under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules and therefore, his name has not been considered for promotion.

3. Since the petitioner was facing charges under Rule 17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, at the relevant point of time, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief as prayed for in this writ petition. However, it is open to the petitioner to workout his remedy based on the outcome of the disciplinary proceedings.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 02.12.2025 ogy Index : Yes / No.
