To extend the ordinary leave granted by this Court in W.P.Crl.(MD) No.2213 of 2026 dated 30.04.2026 to the petitioner's husband (Muthiah @ Muthuselvi, life convict vide Convict No. 5000) for 6 more weeks in view of his undergoing constant medical process and by considering his representation dated 17.06.2026 on the file of this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble N.Anand Venkatesh J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the rejection order passed by the Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Madurai Range, Madurai, dated 23.06.2026, was placed before this Court, wherein it is seen that the request made by the convict for extension of time has been rejected.

2. In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the convict to surrender before the Superintendent, Central Prison, Palayamkottai, on expiry of the leave period. If the convict is aggrieved by the said rejection order, it is left open to the convict to work out the remedy in the manner known to law.
