ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/ Accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences under Sections 120 B, 406, 420 and 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No. 15 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that when the defacto complainant was intended to purchase a house, the first accused introduced himself and stated that he and his wife are jointly holding a house and agreed for a consideration of Rs.68,00,000/-. Initially, a sum of Rs.22,50,000/- was paid by the defacto complainant. They entered into an unregistered agreement. Thereafter the petitioner / A1 delayed the registration of the sale deed. Later, the defacto complainant came to know the fact that the petitioner has impersonated his wife and executed an unregistered sale deed. The same was questioned by the defacto complainant. At that time, the accused persons threatened him with dire consequences. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioner is an innocent, he has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that alleging that the petitioner has executed an agreement by impersonating the owner of a house property, the defacto complainant has given the complaint. Enquiry is pending in this case.

5. It is seen that the matter was earlier referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre. In the process of mediation, an agreement was reached between the parties, for which an amount of Rs.10,00,000/- is agreed to be paid within a period of three weeks by the petitioner.

6. In view of the settlement reached between the parties, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
