O R D E R
************* Alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.6563 of 2022, this Contempt Petition has been filed.
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent, after conducting enquiry, has closed the matter on 12.02.2023.
3.It is seen from the records that this Court has passed the order, dated 08.04.2022, directing the concerned Inspector of Police to conduct enquiry on the complaint, dated 30.03.2022, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the counter party and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the present Investigation Officer, who is present before this Court has assumed charge only in the month of July 2022 and he would further submit that he has received the contempt notice on 18.08.2022.
5. According to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police was not able to trace out the address of the rival party. But this contempt petition came to be filed on 20.08.2022 and the notice in respect of the contempt petition was served on 05.09.2022.
6. It is evident that even thereafter, the respondent has not taken any steps to comply with the order.
7. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent is not having any pending charges or black marks so far.
8. Recording the said submission, this contempt petition is closed.
