J U D G M E N T

(Order of the Court was delivered by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents.

2. Issuance of notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.

3. The appellant is the school management. The fourth respondent was employed under them. On account of fall in the students' strength, she was redeployed to some other institution. The appellant wanted permission from the Department to take action against her for some alleged malpractices committed by her during her tenure. Since the department did not grant any permission, the 2/4

3 W.A.(MD)NO.1902 OF 2025 appellant filed W.P.(MD)No.16755 of 2025. The learned single Judge vide order dated 23.06.2025 dismissed the writ petition. Aggrieved by the same, this writ appeal came to be filed.

4. We are not in a position to hear the appellant's counsel on merits for the simple reason that the fourth respondent had already retired from service on 30.06.2025. Against the retired teacher who is no longer in service with the appellant, the question of taking action may not really arise. This writ appeal is closed as infructuous. No costs.
