PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to subdivide the property in Survey No.120 to an extent of 7000 sq.ft out of an total extent of 7.5 acres situated at Sukkanendhal Group Managiri, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District and issue separate patta for an extent of 7000 sq.ft in the name of the petitioner and consequently consider the representation dated 27.08.2021.

the petitioner has sought for sub-division of the subject property and issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent based on the instructions, submitted that there was an earlier round of litigation with regard to the same property, which went up to the District Revenue Officer and the District Revenue Officer had directed the parties to approach the civil Court. 3.In light of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, there shall be a direction to the respondent to convey the decision to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
