O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission to celebrate the Vinayagar Chathurthi Festival and to place Vinayagar Idols temporarily in the premises of Arulmugu Sri Vinayagar Temple, Eliyarpatti, Valayankulam, Thirupparankundram, Madurai District, that is scheduled from 31.08.2022 to 01.09.2022 based on the petitioner's representation, dated 16.08.2022.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the State would submit that 2/5

the petitioner submitted his representation dated 16.08.2022, wherein the petitioner has not furnished the particulars about the place where they are going to install the Vinayagar Idol and other particulars.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that they have sought permission to conduct the festival within the Vinayagar temple at Eliyarpatti Village.

5.At this juncture, the learned Additional Advocate General would submit that they are not having any objections for conducting the festival within the temple premises.

6. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to file an affidavit as aforesaid and on filing of the same, the respondents are directed to grant permission by imposing conditions specified in the Government Order in G.O.(Ms)No. 598, Public (Law & Order-B) Department, dated 09.08.2018. 3/5

7.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
