For Respondent : Mrs.M.Aasha Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :-For Anticipatory Bail in Cr.No.20 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 498(A), 494 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.20 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the marriage between A1 and the defacto complainant was solemnised on 15.07.2020. Out of the wedlock, a female child was born to them. Thereafter, A2 and A3 arranged the marriage to A1 with another lady and the same was performed on 17.09.2022. When the same was questioned by de facto complainant, A1 demanded a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- as additional dowry and Car. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and seeks anticipatory bail.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that it is a case of matrimonial dispute between A1 and the defacto complainant. He would further submit that the petitioners / A2 and A3 have performed the marriage of A1 with another lady on 17.09.2022 and when the same was questioned by the defacto complainant, the petitioners herein have demanded additional dowry of Rs.10,00,000/- and car and harassed her and hence, the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary and strongly objected to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent and that the petitioners have committed serious nature of offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
