This petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein not to interfere in the petitioner's business.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is running a Spa in the name and style of "Beauty Care and Spa". According to the petitioner, the respondent Police are interfering and disturbing the activities of the above said Spa, without following any provisions of law and preventing her from doing her activities peacefully. Hence, the petitioner made a representation before the respondent Police on 02.08.2022. But no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Aggrieved over the same, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that as per the Tamil Nadu District Police Act, the respondent Police are entitled to inspect any business premises, if there is a complaint.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the petitioner is running the above said Spa for more than one year successfully without any complaint, this Court directs the respondent Police to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
