PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the official respondents Nos.1 to 3 to consider the petitioner representation dated 06.07.2025. ORDER

By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks consideration of his representation dated 06.07.2025 to restrain the official respondents from conducting a survey of the land in S.No.188/6 without considering his objections.

2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his grievance is that the survey is being limited to an extent of 2647 sq.ft. Instead, he submits that the survey should be carried out in respect of the total extent of land in S.No.188/6. 3.Learned Special Government Pleader has brought to my notice an earlier order of this court dated 19.09.2023 in WP(MD)No.11861 of 2023. The said writ petition was filed by One Karuppaiah, who is said to be the owner of the adjacent land. By the said order, this court directed the official respondents therein to survey the lands in S.No.188/4 and 188/6 and fix boundaries after conducting an inquiry as per Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

4.As a consequence of the above mentioned order, the apprehension of the petitioner stands allayed in as much as a comprehensive survey of lands in both the above mentioned survey numbers is required to be undertaken. 2/4

5.Learned Special Government Pleader submits that this process would be completed within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Such survey shall be carried out after putting all affected parties, including the owners of all affected adjacent lands, on notice and considering their objections, if any. The revenue officials may avail of the assistance of the jurisdictional police authority if necessary for this exercise. 6.This writ petition stands disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
