The petitioner with a grievance that the appeal filed by the petitioner before the Information Commission has not been taken on file has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus. 2.Mr.Raguraman Gopalan, learned Standing Counsel who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the appeal filed by the petitioner has already been taken on file and it will be disposed of within a reasonable time. The Statue prescribes eight weeks time to conclude the appeal.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel that the petitioner's appeal has already been taken on file, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
