PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner and family members and without following the due process of law. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner and family members and without following the due process of law.

2. It is seen from the records that the petitioner has received a sum of Rs.18 lakhs from the 3rd respondent and the respondent Nos.3 & 4 agreed to pay the balance amount as per the sale agreement, but failed to do so. Based upon a complaint given by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent/Inspector of Police has issued summons to the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 29.08.2022. But, the petitioner did not appear for enquiry.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for the respondents 1 & 3 would submit that enquiry is pending before the 2nd respondent. He would further submit that though summons has been sent to the petitioner, he has not chosen to appear in pursuance of the same. 2/4

4. Considering the submissions, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 2nd respondent for enquiry and on such appearance the 2nd respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
