ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to shift the writ petitioner's husband Eithiraja S/o.Sivakumar from the Central Prison, Madurai to any one private hospital for providing better medical treatment by considering the writ petitioner's representation dated 06.08.2024 within the time limit stipulated by this Court.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 13.08.2024, considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the second respondent was directed to file a report. In pursuance of the same, the second respondent has filed a status report stating that the patient has expressed his unwillingness for knee surgery and hence, he was treated at Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. 2/4

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner as well as the writ petitioner's husband are not willing for giving consent for conducting surgery but since the bandage had already applied is in torn condition, they may be directed to apply fresh bandage.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the second respondent is directed to get an opinion from the jail Doctor and if necessary, take the writ petitioner's husband to the Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai for change of the bandage and for further treatment, if required.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
