The instant writ petition has been filed by a Assistant Administrative Officer working in the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited, seeking a Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to consider his representation, dated 03.07.2024 wherein he has sought for transfer from Pudhukottai Electricity Distribution Circle to Virudhunagar.

2. A perusal of the typed set of papers indicates that the said representation has been sent through post and the postal receipt has also been enclosed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2/4

4. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the request of the writ petitioner dated 03.07.2024 for transferring on merits in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
