For Petitioner : Mr.T.Thirumurugan For R1 & R2 : Mr.M.Sakthikumar Government Advocate (Crl. side) COMMON ORDER W.P.(MD)No.20454 of 2022 has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to take appropriate action on the basis of his representation, dated 10.08.2022 and pass suitable orders in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.W.P.(MD)No.20455 of 2022 has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his 2/5
petrol bunk namely, "Arumugam & Sons" situated at Kamugoor Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District and his house property in S.No.75/4 situated at Plot No.3 K.Abishegapuram Village, Trichy by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 10.08.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.
3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioner has lodged the complaint against his own brother and brother's wife and the brother's wife is working as a Government school teacher and that there existed civil dispute between the parties. He would further submit that they have issued notice to both the parties and in pursuance of the same, they have appeared for enquiry and the same is pending. He would further submit that the respondent police may be directed to complete the enquiry within the time stipulated by this Court.
4.In view of the above, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation, dated 10.08.2022 in the light of the guidelines issued in the decision in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government 3/5
of Uttar Pradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1 and complete the same, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above directions, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
