The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents strictly to implement the G.O.Ms.No.84 Environment and Forests (EC.2) Department dated 25.06.2018 and taking action against the violators in G.O.Ms.No.84 Environment and Forests (EC.2) Department and monitor the plastic industries, hotel industries, transport industries for using of banned plastic items on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2019.

2. The Government Order in G.O.Ms.No.84 Environment and Forests (EC.2) Department dated 25.06.2018 for prohibiting usage of plastic cups is being implemented and the authorities are expected to strictly implement the procedures to safe guard the public interest and public health. 4/8
