ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to make an entry of Lok Adalat decree and consequently to cancel the mortgage executed on 30.06.2005 and 03.05.201 which are reflected in the Encumbrance Certificate for Survey No.154/102 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2025.

2. When the parties have entered into a compromise before the Lok Adalat, the said award ought to be registered, if presented for registration. Moreover, the compromise pertains to settlement of the mortgage executed by the parties. When the mortgage is satisfied, then consequent entry has also to be deleted.

3. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to enter the Lok Adalat award dated 09.03.2019 in the Register and also directed to make the remark that earlier mortgage is redeemed. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said directions, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
