Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to settle a sum of Rs.1,70,902 /- (vide RTI reply) towards the payment of Surrender Leave Salary payable to the petitioner together with 6% interest from the date of his retirement i.e 31.05.2022 to till the date of payment made and all other attendant benefits to him within the stipulated period. 1/4

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a General Manager of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, who had attained superannuation on 31.05.2022, seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to settle the surrender leave salary for the period between 2018-2019 along with 6% interest per annum.

2.Seeking the above said benefits, the petitioner has send a representation on 05.05.2024, which has been acknowledged by the respondent. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to confer the eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner along with 6% interest per annum from the due date till the date of realization within a period of twelve weeks from the date of a receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
