ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct survey and fix the boundary stones of the petitioner's land in Survey Nos.431/15 and 431/17 situated at Keelakaduvetti Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024 within a time frame to be stipulated by this court.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the properties in question for the past 30 years without any disturbance and that the patta and the other relevant revenue records in respect of the said properties stand in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted an application dated 18.11.2024 seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the said property. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that after consideration of the claims of the 2/4

parties, proper steps would be taken to demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.11.2024, survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after consideration of the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties, if any.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
