Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus or any other writ or order or direction in the nature of writ calling for the records relating to the order passed by the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No.A2/5884/2019 dated 14-10-2020 and consequently direct the respondent 2 to 4 to appoint the petitioner in the post of Police Constable Grade II in the services of the Tamil Nadu Police, within a specified time frame as fixed by this Honourble Court.

This Court passed an order in the writ petition as follows:- 17.The only ground for rejection of these candidates is for their involvement in the criminal case, which fact has not been disclosed either in the application or at the time of verification roll. As detailed in the earlier paragraphs, the rejection of the candidatures of the petitioners herein are against the guidelines of the Director General of Police, dated 22.02.2021 and hence the action of rejection cannot be sustained.

Cont. P. (MD) No.1515 of 2021 18.Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the concerned Superintendents of Police of the various Districts in Tamil Nadu/Deputy Commissioners of the cities, to whose jurisdiction the petitioners herein are subjected for the common recruitment Process - 2019 to re-scrutinize the petitioners' candidatures, in the light of the observations made in the present order and take further course of action, in the recruitment process, atleast within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
2.The learned Additional Government Pleader made a submission that pursuant to the directions of this Court, recruitment process has been re-scrutinized and appropriate orders have already been passed by the competent authority in proceedings, dated 22.09.2021. Thus, the respondents have complied with the order of this Court.
3.In view of the above, the contempt petition stands closed. If at all any grievance exists in respect of the order passed by the respondent, it is for the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy in the manner known to law.
