This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to provide sufficient police protection from the respondents 3 to 6.
2. The petitioner is the wife of one Murugan, whereas, the third respondent is claimed to be second wife of the said Murugan and other respondents are the legal heirs of the third respondent. It is submitted that the third respondent has been threatening the petitioner thereby, the petitioner has filed a complaint before the respondent police however no action has been initiated.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 on the other hand submitted that the petitioner has earlier filed a complaint in the month of May 2023 and the said complaint was enquired into and the petitioner has appeared before the police and gave in writing that she will approach the Civil Court in order to settle the disputes. Accordingly, the said petition was closed and subsequently, no complaint is 2/5
received from the petitioner seeking police protection. The petitioner has not filed any records to show that he has filed complaint dated 08.06.2023.
4. Since the respondent police submitted that they have not received any complaint, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh complaint before the respondent police, on which, the respondent police are directed to take appropriate action and dispose of the same and if necessary by providing police protection.
