PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of his representation to the first respondent, dated 24.07.2023.

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to provide sufficient police protection to the life of the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the wife of the third respondent and on creating dispute both of them are residing separately for the past 5 years. It is submitted that the third respondent along with respondents 4 & 5, who are the friends of third respondent, threatening the petitioner with dire consequences. The petitioner has quoted two incidents, where, the respondents 4 & 5 have not only assaulted the petitioner, but also damaged the auto of the petitioner, the petitioner stated to have filed a complaint before the respondent police for providing police protection on 24.07.2023, but the same has not been attended.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 submitted that the representation of the petitioner has been numbered as C.S.R.No.780 of 2023 and enquiry has been initiated and summons have been issued to both parties and soon after completion of the enquiry, the representation of the petitioner will be considered based on the out come of the enquiry.

4. Considering the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the enquiry as quickly as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
