ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Rmt.Teekaa Raman J.) This petition is filed for re-opening the contempt that was closed by this Court on 16.10.2023 in Cont.P.(MD).No.1690 of 2021, wherein it is observed as under:- "The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the State submitted the copy of the proceedings of the Inspector of Panchayat/District Collector, dated 02.09.2023 issued under Section 205-1(a) of Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act, 1994. It is contended that further actions will be followed without causing any lapse of time.

2. In view of the said submissions, no further consideration is required. Since the respondents have already initiated action and in the process of completing the same, the Contempt Petition stands closed. No costs."

2. Today when the matter was taken up for hearing the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent has submitted a typed set of papers consisting of a communication by the District Collector, Sivagangai addressed to the Tahsildar, Tiruppuvanam to hold an enquiry and that the enquiry was conducted and a report was also filed by the Tahsildar, Tiruppuvanam. After going through the report dated 27.07.2024 which is

imparted from one Vijaykumar, Tahsildar, Tiruppuvanam to the Assistant Director, Panchayat, Sivagangai, we find that the order has been complied with and hence, we do not find any reason to reopen this Petition. Therefore, the Sub Application is closed.
