This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking disposal of the representation of the petitioner, dated 13.06.2019 and given subsequently, again on 06.03.2021. 2.Heard Mr.C.Godwin, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3.The petitioner had sought assignment of land. It is stated in the affidavit that the Tahsildar, Kalkulam, by an order, dated 28.10.1985 had assigned 31.5 ares in R.S.No.595,/3, Surulode Village in favour of the petitioner. That assignment was cancelled by the Revenue Divisional Officer in 1986. The petitioner filed a Writ Petition in W.P.No.2999 of 1997. That was ordered on 18.02.2004. The Government filed a Writ Appeal in W.A.(MD)No.644 of 2010. That was dismissed on 13.06.2016. Thereafter, the petitioner claims that he had sent representation seeking implementation of the order in the Writ Appeal.

4.A direction is given to the respondent/District Collector, Kanyakumari at Nagercoil to examine the representation of the petitioner and invite the petitioner for enquiry, grant necessary opportunity to him of being heard, examine the records furnished by the petitioner herein, examine the revenue records and thereafter, take a considerable decision. At any rate, the decision should be taken within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
