This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents not to harass the petitioner in the guise of withdraw the complaint.

2. The learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submitted that respondents 3 to 5 are neighbours. There had been dispute between them. The respondents 3 to 5 are alleged to have trespassed into the house of the Petitioner and attacked her. Therefore the Petitioner had preferred complaint with the second Respondent. Subsequently the respondents 3 to 5 had been threatening the Petitioner to withdraw the complaint. They had wielded influence with the second Respondent and the second Respondent is also forcing the Petitioner to withdraw the complaint. The second Respondent is directed to take the complaint on record and proceed with the investigation and also not to harass the Petitioner. The Superintendent of Police, Kanyakumari District is directed to enquire in this matter regarding the conduct of the second Respondent in forcing the complainant to withdraw the complaint.

3. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
