PRAYER: This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the first respondent to produce the body or to secure the detenue namely Ashley Joan, aged about 21 years, who is illegally detained by the respondents 2 to 7 against her wishes and to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty. The detenue appeared before this Court and she stated that she is living with her parents on her own volition and she has not been forced by her parents. She further stated that she is not willing to go along with the Petitioner.The detenue is a major and we cannot force the detenue to go along with the Petitioner. 2.In view of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this Habeas Corpus Petition. It is left open to the Petitioner to work out his remedy, in accordance with law. 3.Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
