ORDER
The petitioner claims that her husband's name is Thiruvenkadasamy. But, in the patta, his name has been recorded as Thiruvarangan, instead of Thiruvenkadasamy. Therefore, she has submitted a representation dated 14.06.2023 to the first respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Periyakulam, to correct the mistake crept in the patta. Subsequently, she has also sent a representation dated 14.07.2023 to the second respondent/the Tahsildar, Andipatti Taluk. Since the said application has not been considered so far, she has filed this writ petition.
2. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the petitioner wants to 2/6
change her husband's name in the patta, but, this entry has been made during UDR survey. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach the District Revenue Officer and file a necessary application for this correction.
3. This Court considered the submissions made.
4. The petitioner is not claiming any title over the property from any other person, for which, she has to file an appeal before the District Revenue Officer.
5. The grievance of the petitioner is that her husband's name 'Thiruvenkadasamy' has wrongly been recorded as 'Thiruvarangan' in the patta Registers and in order to correct the mistake, the petitioner has filed this application and has also approached this Court. 3/6

Considering the relief sought for by the petitioner, the first respondent/the Revenue Divisional Officer, Periyakulam, Theni District, is directed to verify as to whether the petitioner's husband name is Thiruvenkadasamy and after ensuring that the same needs to be verified whether this mistake has been committed during the UDR survey, shall correct the mistake, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
