ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The present writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from establishing a fair price shop in a private patta land and consequently direct the respondents to establish the fair price shop in a Government poromboke land situated in the petitioner's Village in the light of the representations, dated 11.07.2022 and 19.07.2022.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the prayer of the petitioner was met with by the respondents by permitting the fair price shop in the Government land, for which, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said fair price shop is not functional. 2/5

In reply, the learned Government Pleader submitted that the respondents will see that the said fair price shop would come into operation as early as possible.

Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to ensure functioning of the fair price shop alleged to be permitted in the Government land. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and compliance to be reported to this Court. 5.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
