This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to exercise their powers under Section 34-A of the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, by appointing a Special Officer to take charge of the administration, records, accounts and 2/5
properties of the third respondent Society and to conduct a comprehensive enquiry into the affairs of the Society from the year 2010 onwards, in the light of the order dated 19.01.2026 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.988 of 2026.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that, pursuant to the order dated 19.01.2026 passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.988 of 2026, the authorities are seized of the issues involved in the present writ petition. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the present writ petition.
3. In view of the above submission, this writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn, granting liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
