ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to permit the petitioner to apply for Interdisciplinary Refresher course on social sciences and relieve the petitioner to participate (On Selection) in Interdisciplinary Refresher course on social sciences as per the order passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.6991/E2/2025 dated 02.07.2025 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is disposed at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner is working as an 'Assistant Professor (History)' from 18.06.2015 in the second respondent college. An Interdisciplinary Refresher course is being held at Madurai Kamaraj University from 01.08.2025 to 14.08.2025 and the last date for applying the said course falls on 20.07.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he was selected for such 2/6

course last time, he was not permitted to apply for the same. Hence, the petitioner made a representation before the first respondent with regard to the inaction on the part of the second respondent. On consideration of the petitioner's representation, the first respondent passed an order dated 02.07.2025 in Na.Ka.No. 6991/E2/2025 directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to apply for such course. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents dated 10.07.2025 seeking the aforesaid relief and the said representation is pending till date without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submitted that the respondents are ready to forthwith permit the petitioner to apply for the aforesaid course and to participate in the same.

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case and also considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3, this Court directs the second and third respondents to pass appropriate orders, forthwith, by permitting the petitioner to apply for the aforesaid course and to participate in the same, by considering his representation dated 10.07.2025.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
