PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct investigation against the misconduct of the 5th respondent and initiate appropriate criminal and departmental proceedings against the 5th respondent by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2025 within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) With reference to the allegations set out in this Writ Petition, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 would submit that criminal case has already been registered by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department in Crime No.15 of 2024, dated 12.12.2024 under Sections 120-B, 467, 468, 471, 167, 409 IPC and 13(2) r/w 13(1)(a) of Prevention 2/5
of Corruption Act, 1988 as amended by Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018. He would further submit that investigation is in progress, 137 witnesses are examined and 98 documents are collected so far. 2.In view of the said submission, this Court is of the considered opinion that since actions are already in progress, this Writ Petition deserves no further consideration. If at all the petitioner is in possession of any documents, evidence or willing to give any statement / complaint, he is at liberty to give the same before the Investigating Officer of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department for the purpose of effective investigation of the matter. 3.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
