ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c) r/w 20 (b), (ii) (B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.20 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 3.Reading of the FIR it shows that the petitioner viz., Subbammal and other accused persons traveled from Theni to Tirunelveli having package of Ganja. Accused Palani and one Duraipandi were arrested. According to the petitioner, she was not at all present in the place of occurrence. Only on the basis of the alleged confession statement made by the co-accused, the petitioner arrayed as accused. CRL OP(MD). No.16078 of 2020 Additional Public Prosecutor, it is seen that totally six cases, which are all also similar to that of this nature, were filed against the petitioner.

4.Considering the antecedent of the petitioner and the nature of the allegation leveled against her, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
