Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, by calling for the entire records pertaining to the impugned auction cum Tender Notification issued by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.934/2025/A1, dated 30.06.2025 and quash the same.

ORDER

By the common order, these Writ Petitions have been disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsels on both sides. 2.These cases were taken up for hearing in the morning and there was a request for pass over the matter and that the case was passed over. In the afternoon, the learned Additional Advocate General -I appeared and submitted that these Writ Petitions have become infructuous in light of the order passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court this morning in W.P.(MD) Nos.19348 and 19217 of 2025, wherein the vires of the impugned communication was decided, no further orders are required in this writ petition.

It is submitted that 100 shops were constructed in the newly constructed Bus Stand in Ramanathapuram District, out of which, one shop was ear marked for ATM and out of balance 99 shops, 14 shops were reserved for erstwhile lessees in accordance with guidelines issued by the Government in G.O.[2pa].No.66 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 06.08.2024.

4. It is submitted that even in respect of those shops, orders have been passed by the Division Bench of this Court by directing the respondents to issue a fresh notification in accordance with Rule 316 of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023.

5. As far as the other issues canvassed in the present Writ Petitions are concerned, the Hon'ble Division Bench has considered and upheld the auction notification, dated 30.06.2025.

6. Considering the fact that the Hon'ble Division Bench has already decided the subject matter of these Writ Petitions, in W.P(MD) No.19348 and 19217 of 2025 today Forenoon (ie) on 16.07.2025. Therefore, the relief sought for cannot be granted in these Writ Petitions to the petitioners. It is however open for the petitioners in both Writ Petitions to approach the Hon'ble Division Bench for appropriate relief.

7. With the above said liberty, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
