O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction against the first respondent/District Collector, Madurai, to return the demand draft, which the petitioner had given seeking allotment of a shop, namely, Old Shop No.12, New Shop No.15, at Vadipatti, Madurai District.

2.Though the shop had been built by the second respondent, it was not allotted to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner now seeks return of such amount of Rs.50,000/-, that was deposited by him.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, two demand drafts for Rs.25,000/- each purchased from the Madurai District Central Cooperative Bank Limited, Madurai, both dated 13.12.2021, bearing Nos.230517 and 230518, both purchased in the name of petitioner, Subbhuraj, had been handed over to the learned Counsel for the petitioner.

W.P.(MD)No.19423 of 2021 4.In view of this particular fact, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
